Once, a respected servant of God came to my house. He had two small children. That servant of God gave his children a costly \u201cI-pad\u201d to play games. The cost of that I-pad might be around Rs. 45000\/-.
Those children didn’t know the cost of that I-pad. So they were using that in a very possible way. And they cannot be blamed for this, as they were very small innocent children. But they were not only the parents of those children, but they were considered as spiritual parents by many believers.
I asked that servant of God, \u201cPastor, for how much you bought this I-pad? And in reply he smiled and told, I didn’t purchase this, the believers who love us much used to give such costly gifts on my birthday and my children’s birthdays. Even though I tell them not to give such costly gifts, they don’t listen me.
Such incidences might look a matter of pride to many of us. Because we see many people who \u201chesitate to spend money for the proclamation of the gospel\u201d show eagerness to construct high towers, put fashionable chandeliers, and to give unnecessary and costly gifts to their famous personalities.
All our worry should be that, how heaven will take these things into account. Because our Lord gave us a great command saying, \u201cGo ye into all the world and make disciples\u201d.
Forgetting this, we should not do unrecognized things and deceive ourselves thinking we will receive the eternal life and reward for our works.
Jesus promised and encourage us n Mark 10:29, 30
\u201cVerily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s, but he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life\u201d.So, as we live in the last days, let us commit our body, materials and our soul for the proclamation of the Gospel. and let us receive the incomparable reward in this life and the life to come and the eternal life and let us rejoice in the presence of our master.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
