It is a well- known fact that during the days of Second World War, the Germans were capturing the Jews and subjected them to various tortures. They even used the Jews to conduct many experiments.
In one such experiment, they told the prisoners that they were going to drain the blood from their bodies drop by drop and enjoy seeing them die a terrible and painful death. Just to demonstrate, they made two prisoners to lie down on the bed and started to drain their blood into a bottle. The blood started to be collected in the bottles and everyone could hear the sound.
After some time they blindfolded the eyes of both the prisoners. Then, they stopped draining the blood from one of the patients. But they made an alternate arrangement so that the sound of the dripping blood could go on. The prisoners were so afraid and started screaming that they were going to lose all the blood and die soon!
At the end of the experiment, the prisoner whose blood was actually drained and the second prisoner who had the illusion that his blood was being drained \u2013 both of them died! The second prisoner died due to his thoughts which kept telling him that his blood was dripping away!
So we see that our thoughts have the power to bring life or death. Yes, Scholars say that positive and good thoughts enrich life whereas negative or evil thoughts drain away life.
Martin Luther says, \u201cIt may not be possible for us to prevent birds from flying over our heads, but it is possible to prevent them from building their nests on our heads. Similarly, Satan may try to plant evil seeds in our mind, but we have the power to accept or reject those seeds.\u201d
Dear Friends, the garden of our mind has a variety of blooming thoughts. If we look out for those flowers which give out a beautiful scent and make them bloom, they will add a pleasant smell to our life and we will enjoy a spring time of life!
If we ask the Bible for its opinion, it confirms that, \u201cFor as he thinks in his heart, so is he.\u201d (Proverbs 23:7)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
