Dear ones in Christ,
God wants to do wonders and signs in each of our lives. He is able to fill all the valleys in our lives and level them. He says all the evil powers like mountains and hills that have become hindrances and are against you shall be made low. The children of God should examine their lives and set right the areas which are to be set right. We should mend the disorders which are in our lives. We should make straight the crooked paths. We should correct the rough ways of our lives. Then God will do the things He has purposed to do.
Even if we don’t see the wind and the rain, if we deepen the valleys, God will do the things He wants to do. If we dig the canals, God will fill them with water. He will fill everything with everything. He filled the widow’s vessels with oil. Even in your life, if you humble yourself as an empty vessel, he will fill that empty vessel and send you filled.
If you are filled with the world, sinful lusts, God cannot fill you. Cleanse your vessel, if you are filled with pride like a mountain, humble yourself before God.
As we are living in the days of the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, God has given us a great ministry like John the Baptist who prepared the way for the first coming of Jesus Christ by filling the valleys, and filling the heart of the people who lived like mountains and hills with the love of God. In the same way, we should also prepare many people for God before the second coming. We should prepare the people who are crooked and whose lives are rough. We should level the lives of such people. We should cleanse their lives by the Word of God and by the Blood of Jesus Christ. Let us see the things which we have to set right.
1. We should put on the new man:
In Colossians 3:10, we read, “… put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him.” We should become like Him. Imitate Jesus in your life. The bride who is preparing herself for His coming should depend on Him and live. And we should transform into His image.
Jesus has kept a beautiful example for us. From the age of 12, Jesus Christ concentrated on the things pertaining to the Father.
2. Put on the character of Jesus Christ:
In Colossians 3:8, we read, “But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth”. Before putting on the new man, let us put off the old nature of our life. Cain filled with anger rose up and killed his own brother. He got the curse only. And he was wandering unstably.
3. We have to put off the lies:
In Colossians 3:9, we read, “Lie not one to another….” God hates them who lie.
4. We should keep our body to fulfill the lust:
In Romans 13:14, we read, “But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof”. We should put on the gentleness and meekness. Gluttonous brings evil desires. We are the temple of God. For living with Christ, we should have the inward indestructible beauty.
5. Put on the strength of God:
We should put on the strength of God. When we keep praying over and over, we will get the strength. If we do the will of God, our fellowship with God will get strengthened. We need the strength of God to do the work for God. If is pathetic to live neither cold nor hot. We should put on the power of the Holy Spirit which is told in Acts 1:8.
My dear friends! Just like John the Baptist who prepared the way for Jesus Christ, let us also rise up with the power of God and the Spirit of Elijah and do great things for God. God will prepare many people though our lives for His second coming. Let us bring many mountains like kings and princes to the feet of God. Let us leave the crooked ways and the old sinful things. God will be glorified though our lives. Maranatha!
