Jesus Comes as King of Kings
Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter.” He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. 16 On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: – Rev 19:15,16
When Jesus comes as king of kings, He comes as a judge. He rule with an iron scepter. He punishes those who do not obey Jesus Christ and judges them. So let us repent before those days of wrath. Let us turn away from sinful ways and towards scriptures. Let us kiss His feets, so that He will not be angry on us. The second coming is not only for us believers, but also for all people on earth. He will judge the earth and lead the earth in the path of righteousness. By that time the earth will go in the path of peace. Let us be prepared for the coming of Jesus. Jesus Christ is coming soon as a righteous judge.
The promises that fulfill in the coming of Jesus Christ
The coming of Jesus is used to be mentioned as a day of Judgment. Because it’s mentioned in many places in scriptures that while Jesus comes back the earth will be judged. Jesus’ coming is portrayed as a day of wrath. Also upon His coming many promises will be fulfilled. Let us meditate on them.
We can group the promises about the second coming of Jesus Christ into two. One is the promises to believers or church. Another is the promises to the Israelites. Both promises will be fulfilled to all who believe in Jesus Christ. However few were said to church and few were said to Israelites. A promise given to the church is, when Jesus comes the church will be taken up and will be with Him.
Judah is imperial generation. Kings were born in Judha. David ruled over all Israelites. So like David, Jesus Christ, the messiah will come soon to rule the earth, is the promise given to Israelites.
The two promises which will fulfill upon coming of Jesus is,
- The promises to the church, His bride
- Imperial promised given to Israelites
Jesus take us to be with Him
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me so that you also may be where I am. (John 14:3)
Jesus told these when the time had come to be taken unto heaven from His disciples. Jesus Christ said, He is going to His father’s house. He said there are many mansions in His father’s house. He said, He will prepare places for His disciples. Jesus Christ Promised that he will come again and take His children to heaven where he prepared places for them. Jesus Christ Promised that he will come again and take his children with Him. This promise is the promise given to believers. Jesus Christ was resurrected and in Heaven and we will be there where He is, is a promise given to believers who accepted Jesus Christ. Our faith does not belong to earthly things. The Lord gave an eternal hope to us believers that we will be with Jesus in heaven for eternity.
