When we meditate about the coming of Jesus Christ, it is very necessary to share about His judgement. We are in the days of grace. So, we have not seen the wrath of God and his judgement much. Still, during the days of Moses, the judgement came among the disobedient Israelites. And they died in the wilderness. In the same way, the Bible is telling that judgement will come upon the earth in these last days. God wants us to escape that. During the days of Noah, when the earth was judged, God protected Noah and his family. When Sodom and Gomorrah was judged, God protected Lot and his family. Likewise Jesus Christ is almighty to protect you too. So, let us realise the coming forth judgement and repent. And let us get prepared for the secret coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Yes! Jesus Christ is coming soon!
Judgement time:
Now we are living in the days of Grace which our Lord Jesus Christ has given us. The mankind does not receive punishment for their sins immediately. On the last day, they have to stand before the judgement seat of God. But when the sins abound on earth, God judged the earth. We can see that during the days of Noah and the days of Lot. And we see God protecting the righteous from that judgement. God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah only after Lot left Sodom. The judgement will come upon the earth only after the righteous and the saints are taken away. And we call this period only as time of judgement or the time of tribulation.
“… for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the
people with equity”. (Psalms 98:9)
The destruction came suddenly during the days of Noah and the days of Lot. When Noah preached the righteousness of God, the destruction came suddenly and unexpectedly. Even Sodom and Gomorrah were judged in the same way. As they were not given an opportunity to repent, Bible says, when Jesus Christ descended down to the lower parts of the earth, he preached to those who died during the days of Noah. So, in these last days, the destruction will not come suddenly, but will come step by step. The reason for this is that the remaining people should repent. So let us repent. An opportunity is being given for them to repent and glorify God. So after taking the Saints, God will judge the earth step by step. The measure of God’s wrath will increase as it goes. So we call that time as the time of great tribulation. At the end Jesus Christ will come. On that day, Jesus Christ will destroy the army, anti-Christ and the false prophets who rose up against him. Not only that, all the people of the earth will also be judged. Yes! Jesus Christ will judge the earth. So, let us humble ourselves and plead for God’s mercy.
At least in this thy day:
“Saying, if thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong
unto thy peace! But now they are hid from thine eyes”. (Luke 19:42)
These are the words of warning given by Jesus Christ to Jerusalem. Jesus Christ said these words with a longing, at least on this day, if you repent and accept him, you can escape the destruction. Jesus Christ knew the destruction and tribulation which was going to come upon Jerusalem. So he was advising them with a burdened heart. He told them to repent. But they did not repent. So just in few years the destruction came upon them. Not only that, till this day, Jerusalem was not able to be inherited completely. Jerusalem did not use the opportunity Jesus Christ gave them. Even today, Jesus Christ is giving you an opportunity. Jesus Christ is giving you an opportunity for you to repent, to be holy and to get prepared. Make use of that. The coming days are the days of wrath. The coming days are the days of judgement. In these days, let us humble ourselves to receive the God’s grace. Jesus Christ is the righteous judge. He is coming soon!
