Jesus Christ rebuked the hypocrites when he was doing ministry on this earth. Not only they, but there are many are like this only. They are righteous outwardly, but filled with sin inwardly. Jesus Christ wants such people to repent.
“Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquities”. (Matthew 23:28).
We should examine our selves, how our heart is before God? So only Davis also says in Psalms 51, thou desirest truth in the inward parts. Yes, let us open the doors of our hearts to Jesus. Let him live in it. Prophet Jeremiah says a shocking statement.
“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” (Jeremiah 17:9).
Let us realise that our heart is deceitful and submit our heart to God and let us safeguard it. Then the fountain of living waters will flow through it.
We can see this in the parable of the ten virgins. The lamps were ablaze. But they did not have oil in their vessel. When the bridegroom came, the lamps extinguished. They did not have the desire in their heart to seek God. They did not have prayer inwardly. They did not have the desire, faith and love for God. Let us be very careful. So let us sanctify our inward parts and be filled with the Love of God, faith and brotherly love. When Jesus Christ come, he will surely take us to him.
