A man of God was trying to cross a river by a boat. As there were some rocks in the midst of the river, those rocks were stopping the boat from sailing forward.
Seeing the obstacle because of the rocks, this man of God became discouraged and prayed,” Lord, please take away these rocks”. Every time after praying he opens his eyes and see that the rocks are unmoved and are in the same place. On see this, the man of God got dismayed and prayed to God, “Lord, why are you not answering my prayer”.
At that time… God spoke to him, “My son, why are you praying for the rocks to be removed, instead change your prayer and pray, Lord, make a way for me”. This man of God also committed himself to God’s will and started praying as God taught him. When he prayed like that, it started raining heavily and water level of the river started increasing and the rocks which were obstacles, immersed in the water and made way for the boat to sail ahead. Today all our need is, “How should I pray, for what should I pray, teach me Holy Spirit”. “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us”.
