“I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ”

Last month I met a very big rich man and the owner of a big company in Bangladesh, where one lakh people work. His father was the commander of the Army in that country. This man is also a young active person, and studied in foreign countries. In his company, more than 50 factories are running which produces various products.
He was trying to partner with an American company and start a new business. I went there to make agreement with those two companies on behalf of my company.
This company’s business is more than Rs. 30,000 Crores. Moreover this is the leading company in that country. This company exports various products to more than 141 countries. I could see all the managers and officers respecting their company owner very highly.
We reached his office in the afternoon at around 3.30 pm. All the workers in that company were wearing the same uniform. There was no difference between the low level workers and the higher officials. In between this, a man came to the reception hall called us inside. He himself opened the doors for us. I thought that the person could be the assistant of the owner. But, as that person sat in the owner’s seat, I recognized that he is the owner of the company. He was very simple.
He might be around 40 years old. He was a very handsome man. He had amazing knowledge and talents. He talked about all the products of the world very clearly. In between this, it was 4.00 pm in the evening. He requested us to wait for some time, and went inside a glass room nearby with a carpet. We could see him, but he was not worried about anything.
He spread the carpet on the floor and fell down on his face on the carpet and worshipped and performed his mass.
Then he came back and continued talking with us. It became 6.00 pm in the evening. Again he went to the same room with the carpet and performed his mass just as he did earlier.
A very big rich man of a big nation did not hesitate to show his religious belief. His wealth, education, social status, thoughts about others couldn’t stop him from doing his duty.
As I was seeing all this, a great challenge and enthusiasm came into my heart. In Romans 1:16 Apostle Paul writes, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes; to the Jews first, and also to the Greek”.
Gospel is not just an ordinary religious belief; it is the “great power to rescue a man from the hell”. When we have opportunity to show this great way of salvation to others, why should we let this go off? Let us act swiftly.
