Faithful Steward

“Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and Stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.” 1 Corinthians 4:1, 2
A man of God should be faithful. He should be faithful regarding his family, ministry, in seeking God and in obeying God. Bible says that we should give account of the things we do to God.
“So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.” Romans 14:12
Why are you doing the ministry? To glorify God? To please man? For money? Or to proclaim the gospel? We have to give account of this to God. Are you faithful to your family? Are you spending time with your wife and children? Are you bringing up your children in truth? We have to give account about how we are using the time and talents to God. We are just stewards on this earth. That is, we are responsible. The faithful master is our Lord Jesus Christ. The ministry belongs to our Lord. In that we have to give account of everything that God gives us. Jesus is the Master of His servants and the church. We have to give account of the sheep in the churches. Did we lead the sheep towards the Lord? Or have we kept them for ourselves? We have to give account of this. Are we doing according to God’s will? Or are we running after our own wish? Let us be faithful keeping in mind that we have to give account of everything to God. Faithful man will receive abundant blessing.
God will reward everyone according to his works. You run so as to receive the reward! Jesus Christ is coming soon!
