John was taken to heaven and saw God the Father and Jesus Christ the Lord. There was a scroll in the hands of God the Father which proclaims the things which is going to happen in the last days. As no one was able to open that scroll, John cried. At that time, the elders comforted him and told John that Jesus Christ the son of David and the Lion of Judah has become victorious to open the scroll. When John thought that Jesus Christ will appear as the King of Kings and as the son of David, Jesus Christ appeared as the Lamb as it had been slain.
“And I beheld, and lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth”. (Revelation 5:6).
Jesus Christ is worthy.
Who is worthy to proclaim the things faithfully to the people of God which is going to happen soon? Who is worthy other than the Lamb that was slain? Only Jesus is worthy to get the secrets from God and tell them to His servants and children. He only is gracious. He only is caring. Only Jesus Christ is worthy to proclaim the things which are going to happen to His servants.
Generally, the government gives the warning to the people when a flood comes. It will advised, that when a cyclone comes, they will warn the fishermen not to go to the sea, and also warn the people who live is lowland areas to go to some highlands. Such warnings are given so that the people may escape from the flood. Recently when Tsunami came, in Japan the people were taken to some secured places.
In the same way, the dangers which are told in the book of Revelation are told so that we can escape the things which are going to happen. Just as the government gives the flood warning, Jesus Christ is giving these warnings so that His children may escape this great danger. It is not God’s will that anyone should perish. Everyone should repent and be saved.
These things are revealed to us with concern so that we could escape this great danger. No one will go near the live electric wire with the danger board 440 volts. The danger warnings are given so that no one should go near that and die.
The book of Revelation is given by God with the purpose that we should not get trapped in the things which are going to happen in the last days and die. Blessed are those who realise this and know the Grace of God, repent and be washed by the blood of Jesus Christ from their sins. He who has ear let him hear. Let us realise the mercies of God and the judgement which is going to come.
Jesus Christ with much concern has told all these things to us afore. He who has wisdom let him think over this. Verily Jesus Christ is coming soon.
